*Later still that day, the Chibis are all gathered around the table for dinner. The meal is a bit unusual, however, and it's not the food.*

*Relena is about to sit, but Wufei stops her.*

Chibi Wufei: Allow me, my lady! *He pulls out the chair for her, inviting her to sit.*

Chibi Relena: *beaming* Thank you, Wufei!

*Wufei holds back a sneer as he does the same for Melody and Tegan.*

Chibi Duo: Heero, PLEASE pass the salt. *He puts on his most sincere face.*

Chibi Heero: Here you are, Duo! *He gives Duo the salt, without even a look that says "Get it yourself!" The viewer notes that the salt is closer to Duo.*

Chibi Duo: Thank you, Heero!

*Treize and Milliardo are staring blankly at the three of them. Heero and Duo aren't fighting, and Wufei isn't making smart remarks about girls. Trowa and Quatre are the only ones that appear to be eating the way they always do.*

Melody: Well! Now this is a refreshing change! Heero, Duo and Wufei acting so well-behaved!

Tegan: Yes... the meal is actually peaceful for a change.

John: If I didn't know better, I'd say they turned over a new leaf!

*Bright halos and faux innocent looks adorn the three Chibis.*

Melody: So Heero... what did you break this time?

*Heero looks disdainfully at Melody.*

Chibi Heero: Nothin'! *For once, he is sincere... at least he hopes so.* I didn't break nothin'!

Melody: Oh really? *She gives him THE LOOK*

Chibi Heero: Really really! I haven't broken nothin' since last week!

Melody: *knowing nod* Is that so... I don't remember you telling me you broke anything last week.

*Heero's eyes widen, accompanied by a sweatdrop. To his relief, Melody fixes her gaze on Duo.*

Chibi Duo: Not me! *He puts on his brightest smile.*

Melody: And you, Wufei?

Chibi Wufei: Hmph! Somebody like ME, break something? *He folds his arms proudly* You must have me mixed up with Warrell and Harpy over there! *He gestures to Heero and Duo.*

Milliardo: You broke the bird bath last month.

*Wufei's proud posture instantly falters.*

Treize: And it's "Laurel and Hardy".

Melody: The only time you three ever act polite is if you've broken something, you brought something home that you don't want me to see, or you want something.

Chibi Heero: Duo brought home a lizard th' other d-UGH! Hey!

*Duo has nudged him sharply with his elbow under the table.*

Chibi Duo: Um... I heard there was a jo-jo not far from here where they teach Karate, and so we were wantin' to go!

Chibi Quatre: *blinks* What's a "jo-jo"?

Treize: He means "dojo".

Chibi Quatre: Oh. ... What'sat?

Melody: *bewildered* You're asking me to let you, Heero, and Wufei take Karate?

*All three of them nod vigorously.*

*There's a pause, and the table is completely silent. Melody suddenly bursts out laughing, followed closely by Tegan and John, then Milliardo and Treize.*

*The Chibis are all staring blankly at their laughing elders.*

Chibi Heero: What's so funny?

Melody: *trying to stop laughing for a moment* No, seriously. What is it you want?

Chibi Wufei: *muttering* I knew she wouldn't go for it...

Chibi Duo: ... That's it. Really.

*Melody, John, Tegan, Treize, and Milliardo all look across the table at the Chibis.*

Chibi Duo: *after a seemingly eternal silence* So.... can we?

*Another long silence.*

Melody: All right, why not?

*John, Tegan, Milliardo, and Treize all look at her as if she's lost it.*

*Heero's, Duo's, and Wufei's faces immediately brighten.*

Melody: BUT!...

*A cloud to rain on their parade.*

Melody: I don't want to hear about any of you bullying the other kids, nor do I want to hear about you giving the instructor a hard time, nor do I want to hear about...

*She continues giving them a list of restrictions. Their faces fall further and further with each restriction on mischief she adds.*

Melody: *what seems to be hours later* .... and absolutely NO PRACTICING IN THE HOUSE! Is that understood?

*The Chibis look at each other.*

Chibi Duo: Um... yes, ma'am.

Chibi Relena: If Heero's goin', so am I!

Chibi Heero: NO! *He glares at her as if her presence in the class would ruin any fun left after all of Melody's restrictions*

Melody: Are you sure, Relena?

Chibi Relena: Uh-huh! I gotta be there t' be sure Heero's still a gennle-man an' all an' to make him his samwiches an' maybe learn some Karate myself!

Chibi Heero: You gotta be kiddin'! *For once, he is almost praying for Melody to say "no."*

Melody: *after another seemingly eternal pause* Well, why not?

*Relena almost squeals in delight. Heero hangs his head in despair.*
