Tegan's Baptism

On Saturday, September 11, 2004 Tegan was baptized in Lake Minnetonka
by Ben Dale, pastor of the Minnetonka Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Pastor Ben is talking about the importance and significance of baptism as a symbol of dying to the old self by being buried under the water and coming out of the water into a new life committed to Jesus Christ.

"It is my privilige to baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

Tegan wanted to be baptized on 9/11 because she wanted something good to happen on that date.

This is the text from the church bulletin that gave some information about the young people receiving their baptismal certificates the following week:

Tegan was born on June 1, 1987. Her family is comprised of her mom and dad, John & Melody, and her big brother, Jeremiah. Some of her favorite activities are: biking, helping her dad work on the car, playing guitar, playing with her birds, and "I could keep going on forever." (In other words, Tegan just loves life!) She is a junior. Tegan says she was baptized because "I felt ready and it was something I had to do." Way to answer His call, Tegan!
