I-Can't-Believe-It's-Yogurt Veggie Dip

You will need:

2-32 ounce cartons of plain yogurt

one packet powdered ranch dressing (or any flavor you like)

1 colander

1 very large mixing bowl

paper towels (or cheesecloth)

small plate that fits inside the colander

some kind of weight--canned goods, bagged rice, etc.

To Make:

Put colander inside bowl. Line colander with paper towels. Empty 1-32 oz. container of yogurt into colander. Fold over edges of exposed paper towel. Cover with plate. Put weights on top.

Let drain until the consistency of thick and creamy yogurt. It takes about an hour and a half to drain each carton of yogurt. Pour whey (the liquid in the bowl) down the drain.

Repeat process with second container.

After both containers are drained, put yogurt back into large bowl, empty powdered dressing packet into bowl, mix well and let set in refrigerator for one hour.

This is not as complicated as it seems! It's very easy to do and is DELICIOUS! Using two containers may seem like a lot but it goes FAST!

Can be used as a veggie dip, on baked potatoes, as a chip dip, etc.

Thanks to Tegan!

Another great experiment from John's kitchen!
