Sunmaid Raisin Granola


You will need:

2 cups old-fashioned oats (not quick)

1 cup shredded coconut

½ cup wheat germ

1 ½ cups of chopped walnuts or almonds

1 teaspoon salt

1 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk

¼ cup oil

1 ½ cup raisins

To Make:

Combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, nuts and salt in a large bowl.

Stir in condensed milk; add oil and mix thoroughly.

Spread mixture on shallow baking pan lined with waxed paper.

Bake in 300 degree oven, stirring occasionally, 1 hour or until golden.

Remove from oven and stir in raisins while still warm.

Store in a tightly covered container.

Makes 8 cups.

This is an old recipe from the Sunmaid raisin company and used to be printed on the box. It's very easy to make and is delicious.
