Lady Une’s Speech in Episode 25
~Quatre vs. Heero~
Lady Une: Mr. Treize fell in love with people. And he fell in love with the death of people. Something about death intensely appeals to people’s emotions. The emotinos that the dead give, denying or affirming battle.
High emotions lead to extreme choices. The very act of receiving death is the demeanor of a true soldier. It’s not that mobile dolls transcend death. They’re doing nothing more than replacing those that are afraid to die.
It doesn’t matter whether you win or lose. Emotions are honed by continuing to fight. And a day will come when lost souls are rewarded.
I’m releasing the Gundam pilots. It’s what both Mr. Treize and I want. I hope I’m not too late.
Tuberov: Even if you’re not we’ll be executing them anyway.
Lady Une: Then I’ll ask you to include me too. In the past, failure meant certain death at OZ. So go and shoot me, Tuberov, to confirm what you believe to be right.
Tuberov: Too bad, Lady Une. You were far too lenient.
Lady Une: As a soldier, yes. But as a civilian I lived an austere life.
*Tuberov shoots Lady Une*
Lady Une: The charm of you pilots threw everything out of order. Your pure hearts are suffering in a world where answers cannot be found.
Lady Une: *thinks* Those that think tenderly about you in that situation realize just how powerless they themselves are. They become hasty and are crushed. But please continue shining, brave warriors. And let me continue loving you.
