John’s Rice-a-Roni
You will need:
1 ½ cups of rice
3 1/3 cups of water
1/3 cup chopped green onion, including some of the onion tops
½ cup spaghetti noodles, broken into ½ to 1 inch pieces
I clove garlic, chopped
3 packets of any flavor of G Washington Broth or 3 vegetable bullion cubes, crumbled
1/3 cup or less of olive oil
optional: add chopped carrots, onions, broccoli, cauliflower or frozen or fresh peas
To Make:
Sautee all ingredients (except the water) in olive oil until the spaghetti noodles are browned. Add 3 1/3 cups water, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is done.
