~Verse of the Day~

June

~June 1~

As the Scriptures say, “Just a little longer, and He who did come will come again and will not delay." Hebrews 10:37

~June 2~

So don’t throw away the confidence in what Christ has done for you, because your faithfulness to Him will be rewarded. But you need to keep on doing the will of God, then someday you’ll receive what He has promised. Hebrews 10:35-36

~June 3~

The Lord says, “The day is coming when the arrogant, the proud and every evil doer will burn up as quickly as straw in a furnace. The day is coming when the whole world will be on fire. No one who is wicked will survive, including the one who is the root of all sin and his helpers who are his branches. But for you who respect and honor My name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings. You will leap for joy and be free and happy as growing calves fed from the stall.” Malachi 4:1-2

~June 4~

“Don’t be surprised if you’re hated for My sake, but do your work faithfully and stand firm to the end, and you’ll have a place with Me in My kingdom.” Matthew 10:22

~June 5~

Those who do right will live in the land. It will be given to the blameless forever. But the wicked will die and be cut off from the land, and those who keep on sinning will be rooted up forever. Proverbs 2:21-22

~June 6~

The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn. Their way gets brighter as the morning progresses, until the full light of day. Proverbs 4:18

~June 7~

If we die to sin as Christ died for us, then we, too, will be raised from the dead as He was raised from the dead. If we suffer and sacrifice for Him, even as He did for us, then we’ll share in His glory as He said we would. On the other hand, if we deny knowing Him, He’ll have no other choice but to deny knowing us. If we turn against Him, He’ll still love us because that’s the kind of Person He is. His attitude toward us is not dependent on our attitude toward Him. He will always love us because He is part of us and we are part of Him, and He can’t disown part of Himself. 2 Timothy 2:11-13

~June 8~

The whole of Scripture is given by God for teaching truth, refuting error, correcting our ways and helping us to live right. This is so those who serve God may become mature and be thoroughly equipped to live lives full of love and good deeds. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

~June 9~

Young people, enjoy life while you can. Be happy and let your heart bubble over with joy. Follow your heart’s desire, but remember that every deed has its consequences, either good or bad, for God will one day judge you for everything you’ve done. Ecclesiastes 11:9

~June 10~

My brothers, if someone wanders away from the truth and one of you brings him back to the Lord, you’ve saved a life for eternity. By helping him turn from his error, you not only save him from eternal death but also cover a multitude of sins which will never be revealed. James 5:19-20

~June 11~

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. God had recreated it just as He had made it in the beginning. The old earth with its polluted atmosphere was gone and so were the vast oceans. Revelation 21:1

~June 12~

The victory wreath is waiting for me which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will give to me when He comes back, and not only to me, but to all those who have loved Him and longed for Him to come. 2 Timothy 4:8

~June 13~

Listen, my brothers, doesn’t God prefer to take to heaven people who are poor in this world’s goods but rich in faith rather than rich people who ignore what He says? Isn’t it generally the poor who feel a need of God who have faith? The rich in faith will inherit the kingdom that God has promised to those who love Him. James 2:5

~June 14~

We have no permanent city here, but we look for one that’s still to come. Hebrews 13:14

~June 15~

To respect God means to hate evil. I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and a filthy mouth. Proverbs 8:13

~June 16~

Good people will never perish from the earth, but the wicked will someday be gone.7 Proverbs 10:30

~June 17~

“So My people need to be ready, because when we least expect it, probation will close and the Son of Man will come.” Matthew 24:44

~June 18~

Today we’re no longer standing at the foot of Mount Sinai but at the foot of Mount Zion, the heavenly mountain. You’ve come to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God, where thousands of angels joyfully and happily come into God’s presence. Hebrews 12:22-23

~June 19~

“Comfort, comfort My people,” says our God. “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem and tell her what the future holds. Her years of captivity are at an end. Her sins have been forgiven. She has felt the just discipline of the Lord.” Isaiah 40:1-2

~June 20~

“The Lord will come and rule with power. He will bring His reward with Him to give to each as he has done. The Lord cares for His people as a good shepherd cares for his sheep. He carries the lambs in His arms and holds them close to His heart. He gently leads the sheep who are with young.” Isaiah 40:10

~June 21~

One generation comes and another goes, and the earth simply keeps spinning in space as if nothing has happened. Ecclesiastes 1:4

~June 22~

But the Lord is good; He is a refuge in the time of trouble. He knows those who trust in Him. Nahum 1:7

~June 23~

Now your enemies are coming! The shields of their warriors are red and their uniforms are scarlet. They’re preparing to attack. Their chariots race madly through your streets; they rush back and forth in the suburbs of the city. They glisten in the sun as if they were on fire; they dart here and there like lightning. Nahum 2:3-4

~June 24~

Jesus turned to His disciples and said, “You need to forget about your desire to have Me drive out the Romans and free Israel, because that’s not what I came to do. If anyone wishes to follow Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross and be willing to suffer for Me, even as I am willing to suffer and die for him. Anyone who is only interested in this life will end up losing eternal life, but the person who is willing to give up everything to follow Me will find happiness in this life and will also be given eternal life. What is the value of gaining the whole world and losing your own soul? No amount of money can buy it back.” Matthew 16:24-26

~June 25~

Jesus looked at His disciples and said, “You have willingly left everything to follow Me. I know that. When I come again to restore all things and sit on My throne, you will be there beside me on twelve thrones in charge of the twelve divisions of people making up My kingdom.” Matthew 19:28

~June 26~

“Come to Me, you who are tired and worried, and I will give you rest. Take up my work and learn from Me, for I am gentle and kind, and you will discover an abiding peace in your soul. My requirements are easy and the load you carry will be light.” Matthew 11:28-30

~June 27~

In fact, creation itself is eagerly awaiting for the time when God will show the world who His sons and daughters really are. Romans 8:19

~June 28~

So now you’ve become an example to all believers throughout Macedonia and Greece, but news of your strong faith in God has spread everywhere. We don’t need to tell about it because everyone already knows. People everywhere are talking about how warmly you welcomed us and how quickly you accepted the gospel and turned from your idols to the true and living God. They also know how eagerly you look forward to the return of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God, the One whom God raised from the dead and who delivers us from our sins and from judgment to come. 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10
